Century of Song
ALEX GETLIN was most recently seen Off-Broadway in the company of ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN IN THE THEATER-THE SONGS OF MAURY YESTON. A recent graduate of Northwestern University, she made her California debut in June with the Pasadena Pops and Michael Feinstein conducting BROADWAY: THE GOLDEN AGE with Liza Minnelli. She has also performed at Town Hall as a 2016 Broadway Rising Stars, as well as at Feinstein’s/54 Below and NJPAC. Northwestern credits include Rose GYPSY, Mrs. Lovett-SWEENEY TODD, The Witch-INOT THE WOODS, and Amy- COMPANY. Alex made her professional singing debut at 17, when Feinstein presented her in a solo cabaret show “You’re Gonna Hear From Me” at the Regency, directed by Scott Coulter with musical direction by John Oddo. BroadwayWorld said the show “marked the emergence of a new and rare talent on the entertainment scene.” Regional Theater: Berkshire Theatre Group, THE MUSIC MAN. TV: NBC “Shades of Blue.” Huge thanks to Scott, Harris and my wonderfully loving family.
