What do I need to prepare for camp?
We are asking every student to memorize one song before the beginning of camp.

How long should my song be?
We suggest a solo song about 2 minutes in length. The song does not have to be from a musical. It can be a pop song, a classical piece, or any style that you feel comfortable singing. What do you love to sing? What song do you love to sing in the shower or in the car? Is it on the radio or maybe from your favorite musical? Get creative and don’t forget you’ll be in “the room where it happens”!

Do I need sheet music and where can I find it?
You will need to provide sheet music for the song you choose to prepare. Here are some books that may help you find a song:

  • The Best Broadway Songs Ever (The Best Ever Series)
  • The Singer’s Musical Theatre Anthology
  • Contemporary Women of Pop and Rock
  • Music Notes
  • Online Sheet Music
